Web Communications


‚ÄčPolicy:

The Web Communications unit of the Office of Marketing and Communications provides oversight of the university's web presence, including information architecture, usability, accessibility, design, graphics and style standards, and branding and marketing strategy.

Web Communications administers and provides support for the university's content management system. All official websites for academic and administrative units must be housed within the CMS unless specifically exempted by the Associate Vice President for Communications.

Units are responsible for maintaining and updating their websites. Each unit should identify a content author responsible for its site. Content authors must undergo training in basic procedures and standards for university websites. Training is provided by the Web Communications team. 

Websites must adhere to web style guidelines, advance the university's mission and brand, and follow best practices for accessibility, usability and web content.
