News media and other organizations that would like to film on campus must contact the Office of Marketing and Communications.
News media may film outdoor areas of the university as long as their work does not disrupt university activities or impinge on the privacy of students, staff or faculty.
Filming inside a classroom or building requires advance permission of the Office of Marketing and Communications. Filming inside student residence halls is not permitted.
Commercial filmmakers and videographers must comply with the Policy Statement on Use of the University Name, Seal, Wordmark and Other Trademarks. Permission to use the university name will be granted only after review of the script and/or approval of the final film or video.
A location agreement must be signed by the Associate Vice President for Communications (or delegate). Proof of insurance must be provided to the Office of Risk Management. Location, rental or other fees may be charged.
Students, community members and others who wish to film or videotape on campus should contact the Office of Marketing and Communications in advance for permission. Noncommercial projects are subject to the requirements of the Policy Statement on Use of the University Name, Seal, Wordmark and Other Trademarks.
